Howard Porteus

Howard Porteus began his 30-year career in real estate construction and development upon graduation from the University of Stony Brook. He has served in operating and executive management positions in the homebuilding industry, building 3,500 homes in several metropolitan markets. In addition, he developed commercial real estate in Colorado and in Texas, including Elkhorn Lodge in Beaver Creek.

Since 2007, he has been active in all aspects of the real estate development business including acquisition, entitlement, financial sourcing, development, and marketing/sales. While employed at Huffines Communities Howard was primary in the development of Hebron 121 Station in Lewisville, a mixed-use, transit-oriented development with 1,750 residential units and 275,000 commercial square feet.

Additionally, Howard has worked with Texas Southmost College, consulting through their de-merger with the University of Texas at Brownsville.
